Welcome to my website. I am a painter working in oils, watercolour and mixed media. I was born in Lowestoft, the most Easterly Point of the British Isles and studied at the Camberwell School of Art in London.

I combined a teaching career with bringing up my two children and, on retirement, returned to live in the beloved sea-side town of my birth, with its restless seas and vast skies. Now, a full-time self-employed artist, working in the shed-studio in my garden (just a stone’s throw from the sea), my painting is an immediate, emotional response to my surroundings, gradually becoming more personal and self-indulgent as time passes.
